We’re Green for Good.
With Goodwill’s stores we are inherently environmentally friendly – keeping used goods out of landfills and in use – we also have a number of other programs and products that help protect the Earth, including our computer recycling services through the Dell Reconnect program.
We receive and sort through thousands of pounds of gently used clothes and other household items every day. Our recycling system is so effective that we keep millions of pounds of clothing, textiles and computer equipment from polluting the Earth each year.
Reduce – Reuse – Recycle
Goodwill is doing its part to help keep the environment clean for future generations. Our recycling efforts begin by selling your gently used goods at one of our stores. If an item is too tired, torn or tattered to be sold, we process it through our retail recycling program. Large bundles of clothing, stuffed animals and shoes are compacted daily and sent outside Goodwill for recycling. We aggressively recycle those items that do not sell to ensure that as much as possible is kept out of landfills.
We would like to draw your attention to Goodwill’s new donate movement at donate.goodwill.org where you can learn how your donations put people to work and have a positive impact on our environment.
