“At age 24, I didn’t have my driver’s license. I was nervous to make this step. I had to get my license to be able to operate a forklift on the job.”
Dani started working at Goodwill in 2015, working in an entry-level retail position, since then she has developed confidence and skills to move into a team lead position. When asked how Goodwill has impacted her life, Dani responded “made me grow…I was shy and timid when I started…this [organization] pushed me to try new things. I was never in a leadership position before. I have learned to work with a team.” In addition to advancing at Goodwill, Dani now has her driver’s license and the independence this brings to her life.
When asked what she likes best about Goodwill, Dani shared “I like all the different programs helping people. Goodwill has helped me become more independent and responsible. I want the community to know what Goodwill does to help others.”
