John Hantla has been serving as Goodwill of the Great Plains’ President since July 1996. Prior to becoming president his career of service to Goodwill encompasses a very beneficial step through the ranks. He served as Vice President, Sales and Production, for six years, as the Director of Goodwill in Sioux Falls, SD for six years and as a Case Manager in Sioux City for three years. John began his career with Goodwill as Director of Projects with Industry in 1982. He is an active volunteer in the community, has served as the Vice Chair of the North Central Regional Association of Goodwill Industries and serves regularly on Goodwill Industries International (GII) committees. He is a graduate of Adams State College, Alamosa, CO and also a graduate of the Goodwill Industries International Executive Training Program. John is a Vistage Board Member in Omaha, NE and a Rotary Club member.
Charlotte began her career as Corporate Compliance Officer to the agency and Executive Coordinator to the President and CEO in 2007. She was promoted to Vice President of Administrative Services in 2010. She was then promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in 2012. Charlotte oversees compliance, human resources, marketing, strategic planning, information technology, and health and safety. Charlotte previously worked as a managing legal assistant and legal secretary for two Sioux City law firms and has graduated Leadership Siouxland. She volunteers as a board member for Leadership Siouxland.
Vilay Keokenchanh began his career with Goodwill in 2006 as the Director of Sales. He became the Vice President of Retail in 2009. He was then promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2012. Vilay formerly worked as a territory manager for Harker’s Distribution, sales consultant for Verizon Wireless and sales manager for the UPS store. He also holds a degree in Professional Studies from Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, IA. Vilay has completed the Goodwill Industries International Senior Leadership Training Program and Executive Development Training Program.
Jerry Favors returned to Goodwill of the Great Plains, after 11 years, joining the team as Chief Financial Officer. Jerry began his career with Goodwill in 2002 as the Director of Finance. After serving two years at Goodwill, Jerry worked as an accounting supervisor for Tyson Foods and an accounting manager for Curly’s Foods. The last five years Jerry had been involved in financial health care and administration and recently as a financial analyst for Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, and a MBA from Wayne State College.
Briget began her career with Goodwill as a Human Resources Associate in 2004. By 2007 she became the Director of Organizational Planning and was promoted to Vice President of Strategic Planning in 2010. Briget oversees strategic planning, organizational development, and marketing. Briget is a graduate of Wayne State College, Wayne, NE and received her Master of Science in Administrative Studies at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD in 2011. She is also a graduate of Leadership Siouxland and Goodwill Industries International Senior Leadership Development Program.
Joanne Haase began her career at Goodwill as Director of Mission Services for South Dakota and Minnesota in 2012. In 2016, Joanne became the Vice President of Community Engagement. Her focus is advancing mission delivery across the State of South Dakota and Minnesota. She is a graduate of Goodwill Industries International’s Senior Leadership Program. Joanne holds an MBA from University of Sioux Falls and a law degree from the University of South Dakota.
